Private practice can be a lonely endeavor. Our monthly clinical consultation group allows providers to discuss complex cases and receive feedback from other experienced clinicians. The team has Clinical Psychologists, Clinical Social Workers, Mental Health Counselors, and Marriage & Family Therapists.

One Year Minimum Commitment

If you’re newly licensed or have been thinking about opening a private practice for a LONG TIME, let’s work together for a  year! You would be an employee so you don’t have to worry about saving your own federal and state income taxes. Nor would you have to worry about paying for your own office and supplies. There are several options after the one year commitment. Including staying on long-term.

IMUA University

We know they didn’t teach you how to open or run your own business in school. They didn’t teach us either! We offer a comprehensive program to help providers start and run their own practice. With a focus on personalized support, the program provides guidance on all aspects of practice management, from business planning to credentialing and beyond. We will even credential your practice!

Flexible Schedule

Let us know when and how often you’d like to see patients and we’ll do the rest. Some of our providers see a handful of patients each week, while others handle a bunch. It’s totally up to you!

Technology

Providers are issued HIPAA-compliant laptops for telehealth and documentation. IMUA also uses HIPAA-compliant email, Microsoft 365, Adobe Sign, and text messaging. We also contract a locally owned IT company for support.

Your Practice Set-up

Once your credentialing is all set, we’re here to help you out with setting up YOUR very own private practice. We’ll even handle the credentialing process for you. Just give us the heads up when you’re ready to dive in and we’ll get things rolling.

Is this for real?

Yes! The way we laid out the process above is exactly how the program works. One-year minimum commitment.

What happens after the one-year commitment?

Couple options:

If you would like to work another year with us, you don’t have to do a thing! All contracts are set to auto-renew at the one year mark. Although we want to help providers open up their own practices, we are more than happy to work with someone for years to come.

If you feel ready to open your own private practice, you have our blessing! Just as it’s laid out above.

I can really take my patients with me?

Absolutely! We know that the need for healthcare and good healthcare providers continues to grow every year. There are more patients that need help than there are providers to help them. So we are happy to help you build your panel before you venture off to open your own practice.

How do I get paid?

Just like in private practice, we only get paid when a patient comes to their appointment and we can bill for their session. This is how we calculate how many hours a provider gets paid for. We have payroll every two weeks.

Benefits?

For those who work the qualifying amount of hours, we have HMSA medical, dental, and vision to offer. There are also additional benefits for qualified employees including FSA and a partial gym membership reimbursement. We partnered with CrossFit West Oahu.

Are there any restrictions if I leave after my one-year commitment?

Nope! We don’t have a non-compete clause. Like we said earlier, there’s a need for healthcare and good healthcare providers. We believe there are more patients that need help than there are providers to help them.
